This is my series of portraits that I loving call Of Earth. I dreamt of the ethereal realm and what it meant to be fully connected to earth. Intermingling with the flora as if it were a part of us, growing and covering and becoming part of our features. I dreamt what it would look like for humans to be the consciousness of earth.
To create this series I first photograph a subject then I photograph flora that matches the language of the face. I layer and clip parts until the flora and the face feel as though they are in a symbiotic relationship saying something together and in unison. I collapse the layers as I go so in this way each piece cannot be recreated, working like I would with paint.
